Don't buy this from us. It costs $1,000 from us, for goodness sake. Buy it from Greater Than Collective. It costs only $3 from them! Link is in our profile.

FYI... "Vapedemic" is a nostalgia-anthem about the glory days of getting high, much of which occurred while in a friend's car. "Cars" is just generally about the glory days of driving around and doing nothing. The car on the cover of the 7" is Matt Schiels 1988 Toyota Camry, which we pioneered into space many times during high school. It's probably smashed into a cube at the bottom of the ocean right now, but on this 7", it lives forever.

Includes unlimited streaming of VAPEDEMIC 7" via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

about

Smoking weed is neither cool nor dumb. And sure, it's probably arbitrary to judge the method one uses to get the weed into their body. And yes, of course everyone always thinks things were better back in the day. But. BUT! With all that considered, we still enjoy the sacred ritual of doing our legal drugs by hand. This song is about growing up, watching things change and yearning for the old days. Just like a lot of our songs.

lyrics

BACK IN THE DAY WE’D WAIT FOR AFTER DARK, WALK FROM AARON’S HOUSE STRAIGHT INTO LION’S PARK. THE COPS STOPPED US ONCE, WE TOLD ‘EM IT WAS CIGARS. THEY DIDN’T BUY IT. THERE’S NOTHING LIKE THE FEELING YOU GET WHEN YOU’RE BREAKING THE LAW AND YOU’RE JUST A KID. BUT WHEN THEY PUT YOU IN CUFFS, THAT FEELING OF REGRET, YOU WON’T REGRET IT. BEHIND SALT BROOK SCHOOL IT WAS MY FIRST TIME. THEN WE WALKED TO MATT’S HOUSE TO GET STUFF OUR EYES. WE WAITED IN THE DRIVEWAY WHILE HE TALKED TO HIS PARENTS INSIDE. POLAND SPRING BOTTLES AND APPLE CORES, GETTING PARANOID ABOUT THE NEIGHBORS NEXT DOOR. IF THE GIRLS ONLY KNEW, WOULD THEY STILL THINK I WAS A NERD? LIKE THE WAY KIDS DO, I BUILT IT UP IN MY HEAD. IT WAS A SECRET WE SHARED, JUST ME AND MY FRIENDS, AND THAT MADE IT SPECIAL, ONLY WE’D UNDERSTAND. NOW I SEE IT ON THE STREETS OF DENVER ROCK CITY, PEOPLE SUCKING ON PENS LIKE IT’S MOS EISLEY. IT’S A SUPERDRAG, AND THEY’RE SUCKING OUT THE FEELING. IT’S THE WAY IT ALWAYS GOES WITH GROWING UP. YOU GOTTA SAY GOODBYE TO THE THINGS YOU LOVED. DUDES, IS ANYONE STILL ROLLING BLUNTS? GIMME 10 MORE YEARS I’LL FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO GET ALL SELF-RIGHTEOUS AND NOSTALGIC ABOUT. BUT THAT’S A LONG WAY AWAY, I KNOW SOMETHING WE CAN DO RIGHT NOW. MY CAR, I’LL DRIVE, AND WE’LL FLY. WE DON’T GOTTA HIT 88 JUST TO FLY BACK TO THE GLORY DAYS. MY CAR, OUTER SPACE, WE CAN FLY BACK TO THE GLORY DAYS.
